IT-Administrator (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain company hardware
Handle installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software, and hypervisors
Set up and monitor backup systems, network security, antivirus solutions, and robust networking infrastructure
Maintain inventory of IT assets, hard disks, peripherals, and any mission-critical components
Administer and support enterprise systems such as PLM, ERP, CAD platforms, and software tools tailored to aerospace engineering and simulation
Verify that software licenses are valid and compliant, with special attention to CAD, design, and simulation applications
Support integration and data flow between systems Implement and enforce data protection policies (GDPR compliance) with a focus on sensitive space tech IP and R&D data
Ensure secure data storage, sharing, and backup within the organization, including cloud and on-prem solutions
Monitor and respond to IT security incidents and vulnerabilities
Collaborate with the Program & Innovation Officer to support digitalization, process improvement, and AI experimentation initiatives using open-source models
Provide technical support and training to employees on IT tools, systems, and emerging technologies
Maintain IT documentation, manuals and system configurations, adapting to rapid iteration cycles
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize IT systems, workflows, and incorporate AI-driven automation
Evaluate and recommend new tools or technologies (e.g. AI models, software solutions)

Basic Qualification

Degree or vocational training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in IT administration, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering, or tech startup environment (space/aerospace preferred)
Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux systems, ERP/PLM systems, MS applications, CAD license management, networking, and hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox)
Solid understanding of network administration, cybersecurity, data protection (GDPR), and software administration
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-oriented mindset adaptable to startup agility
Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)

Desired Experience

Experience with systems such as SAGE, Teamcenter, PowerApps, or similar, plus familiarity with aerospace-specific tools (e.g., simulation software)
Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.) and hands-on AI experimentation with open-source models (e.g., Hugging Face, TensorFlow)
Background in startup or scale-up settings, especially within high-tech sectors such as space exploration or innovation-driven industries
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-evolving team focused on groundbreaking space projects

Qualifikationen

Abgeschlossenes Studium oder Ausbildung im Bereich Informationstechnologie, Informatik oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet
Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der IT-Administration, bevorzugt in der Raumfahrtbranche
Praktische Erfahrung mit Windows-/Linux-Systemen, ERP-/PLM-Systemen, MS-Anwendungen, CAD-Lizenzverwaltung, Netzwerken und Hypervisoren (z. B. Proxmox)
Fundierte Kenntnisse in Netzwerkadministration, Cybersicherheit, Datenschutz (DSGVO) und Software-Administration
Starke Problemlösungsfähigkeiten, proaktive und serviceorientierte Arbeitsweise, Anpassungsfähigkeit an die Dynamik eines Startups
